Nefeli Gioti (she/her) was born in Athens.
She has completed her MA in choreography at the University of Arts in Stockholm as well as her BA studies in Environmental Science in Greece. She studied contemporary dance practices at Tanzfabrik in Berlin and attended "Theory of Performance Practices" at the Kapodistrian Athens University.

She is a dance researcher, choreographer and dancer who works between Greece and Sweden, currently based in Stockholm.

She has worked as a performer and artistic collaborator in numerous choreographic works and projects in Greece, Germany, France, and Sweden. Lately has been researching the role of "on the side" in different contexts and collaborations. She has worked as an artistic collaborator with Ivana Müller, Snorre Elvin, Argyro Chioti at the “Chalepas” production (Onassis Foundation), as a dramaturg and movement consultant at the production “MUDE” directed by Kalllia Kefala and funded by the Einstiegsförderung of the Berlin Senate Department of Culture and Europe and by the Fonds Darstellende Künste- Take action Program, as an assistant choreographer with Xenia Kochilaki (Junkdance), as an assistant director with Argyro Chioti -Vasistas Theater Company- at the National Greek Theater and the Biennale des Arts de la Scène en Méditerranée festival of the Théâtre des 13 at Montpellier, France.
Since 2023 she has been a fellow artist of the Critical Practice (Made in Yugoslavia) program, which empowers critical thinking and writing in the field of contemporary performing arts.
